Bienert Katzman Littrell Williams LLP has served as counsel for multiple ad hoc and official creditors’ committees, advocating a pragmatic and proactive approach to maximizing asset recovery and protecting the interests of similarly situated creditors. We foster a collegial and cohesive relationship with our committee members and constantly work on ensuring a balance of interests, as sometimes one creditor’s interests may be at odds with another’s.
As committee counsel, we vigilantly monitor and respond to actions taken by the debtor and other parties in a bankruptcy case, formulate creative solutions, investigate assets and liabilities, negotiate with the debtor, make recommendations on proposed post-petition financing, proposed chapter 11 plans of reorganization or liquidation, and on proposed 11 U.S.C. § 363 sales of assets, confer with other parties of interest, and help our committee navigate through the often-times extremely fast-paced, complicated and confusing bankruptcy court process.
