Overview
Prior to joining BKLW, Anna served as a Judicial Law Clerk to the Honorable Karen E. Scott, United States Magistrate Judge for the Central District of California, where she worked on a range of matters including habeas corpus petitions, prisoner constitutional claims, and pro se civil rights disputes. Before her clerkship, Anna gained experience in criminal defense as a Law Clerk for the Federal Public Defender’s Office in Santa Ana and the Orange County Public Defender’s Office. She also served as a Judicial Extern to the Honorable Ronald A. Clifford III, United States Bankruptcy Judge for the Central District of California.
Anna earned her J.D., magna cum laude, from Chapman University Fowler School of Law in May 2025, where she served as Executive Managing Editor of the Chapman Law Review. She was active on the executive board of the Public Interest Law Foundation and helped raise over $25,000 in summer grants for fellow students pursuing unpaid or low-paid summer externships.
Before law school, Anna received her Bachelor of Arts, with honors, in Theatre and Dramatic Arts from the University of Toronto. She spent several years working in theatre, film, and commercial projects, and was a member of SAG-AFTRA and Actors’ Equity Association.
Outside of work, Anna enjoys reading and writing, staying current on pop culture, and getting outside with her two young kids for park days and other outdoor adventures.
